Questions, answered

The questions we are asked most often. If yours is not here, we would be glad to hear from you.

The bakery

Visiting & ordering

Do I need to order ahead?

Not for our everyday pastries and breads, which are baked fresh and available while they last. Whole cakes, catering boxes and large orders need advance notice. You are always welcome to call ahead for pick-up.

How do I order a custom cake?

Use the cake order form. We reply within one business day with a quote, and a 50% deposit reserves your date.

How much notice do you need for a cake?

At least a few days for standard cakes and two weeks for tiered or wedding cakes. Earlier is better for holidays and weekends.

Do you have vegan, gluten-free or nut-free options?

Our menu changes with the seasons, so please ask at the counter or call us. Our kitchen handles wheat, milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts and soy, so we cannot guarantee that any item is free of allergens.

Do you deliver?

We offer local delivery for cake and catering orders for an additional fee. Ask us when you place your order.

Can I pay by card?

Yes. We accept major credit and debit cards, as well as cash, at the counter.

How should I store pastries?

Croissants and sweet pastries are best on the day they are baked. Keep them in a paper bag at room temperature and refresh them for a few minutes in a hot oven to restore their crispness. Cakes with fresh cream or fruit belong in the refrigerator.

Do you offer gift boxes?

Yes. Macaron boxes and assorted pastry boxes make lovely gifts, and we are happy to add a note.

Do you take wholesale or café accounts?

Occasionally. Send us a message using the topic “Wholesale” on the contact form.

How do I leave feedback?

We would love to hear it. Use the contact form, or speak with the team at the counter.

The shop

Shop & recommendations

Do you sell the products in your shop directly?

Most items in our shop are sold by trusted retailers such as Amazon.ca. When you click through, you buy from that retailer, and they handle payment, shipping and returns. Gift boxes and cakes from our own bakery are available for pick-up in Brampton.

Do you earn a commission from shop links?

Some links are affiliate links, so we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never influences what we recommend. Read our affiliate disclosure for details.

How do you choose which products to feature?

We choose tools and ingredients that a professional baker would be glad to use, that are built to last, and that offer genuine value. Brands cannot pay to be included.

Can you recommend something for a specific need?

Of course. Send us a message describing what you bake or brew and your budget, and we will suggest a few options.
